Build your social presence

How to build your content bank

Hey! Welcome again to Diana’s Verse.

I hope you’ve had an amazing week! ❤

Below are the topics I’ll share with you today:

Why you need a content bank

Coming up with new ideas and consistently posting on social media can sometimes become a struggle.

Especially if you’re doing it every single day.

I’ve struggled with it myself until I figured out a system that I can put in place.

This system allowed me to:

  • Have consistency

  • Store ideas for future use

  • Stay organized and productive

  • Not struggle anymore with searching every day for new content

And it is called a content bank.

What is a content bank?

Think of it like a bank that stores money - a content bank stores content ideas that can be withdrawn and used when you need it.

It is a collection of resources for projects and people that are regularly posting on different channels.

How can you build one?

Choose a platform

The first step is choosing a platform where you want to stack your ideas.

I personally use:

  • Notion to write down whenever a new tweet/ thread idea comes into my mind

  • Google sheets to stack threads/ newsletter topics that need research

  1. Create a template

Create your Google sheet template by adding the most important things you need to consider when you start creating a new thread/ newsletter

Topic - headline/ title of the post

General idea - main idea of your post

Research - resources you need to consider

Comments - any information related to your topic that you need to take into account

Status - Not started/ Done/ Posted

Newsletter ideas

Thread ideas

Create your Notion template by dividing it into:

Content type: Tweets/ threads

Status: To do/ Ready to be posted/ Posted

This is what works for me. You might want to modify the above main points.

Ta-daaam! Now every time an idea comes up into your mind, don’t let it go to waste. Just note it down and check it up whenever you need to create new content.

You got it right, it’s the universe of books and podcasts in here.

In this section, I will recommend to you either a book or podcast that I find truly inspiring.

And if this week’s newsletter is about content, here is a podcast by @thedankoe on how write authentically:

That’s all for now! If you’ve made it till here, I truly appreciate you!
